Course Description

HAUSA/ISLAMIC STUDIES is a course that aims to train professionals who speak and understand the values of the Hausa Langauge, the origin of the language, and other different activities of the Hausa People. As opposed to the general misconception that the course can only be offered by the Hausa people, anyone can apply to study this course.

There is an added advantage if you're from Hausa but that doesn't mean if you're not then you cannot enrol for this course.

Career Opportunities

As a trained professional in this field, you may work as

  1. A teacher at the High school level who teaches Hausa and its norms
  2. For an organization and transact directly with clients that may not understand Hausa or English
  3. A translator for any other reputable organization
  4. In and Out of the Country

140 is the minimum cut off point for HAUSA/ISLAMIC STUDIES as specified by JAMB.

Also, the required cut-of-points for this course (HAUSA/ISLAMIC STUDIES) depends on the school you are applying for, basically many schools have a different minimum cut of marks for accepting students in this area, which may be higher or even lower than JAMB recommend.
