Course Title: RADIOGRAPHY

Course Description

RADIOGRAPHY AS A COURSE.
Radiography is a paramedical course, which instills knowledge on the techniques and process required to carryout radiographic investigations (relating to x-ray, ultrasound images etc.) to assist in the diagnosis of an ailment/disease.
A radiographer is one who studied radiography, and carryout investigations of internal body structures (bones, tissues etc.) to assist in diagnosing and ruling out disease conditions.
This is an important field, and it has great impact in the medical sector. Without radiography as a whole, some conditions can not be detected, therefore adversely affecting the health status(es) of the society.
There's difference between a radiographer and a radiologist.
A radiologist is a licensed and practising doctor who gives diagnosis of radiologic images, which are captured and interpreted by the radiographer.
To study this course, they are some other sub-courses taught, which may include:
1. Anatomy.
2. Biology.
3. Radiology theory.
4. Chemistry.
5. Mathematics.
6. Patient Positioning.
7. Patient Safety.

WHY STUDY RADIOGRAPHY???
Are you confused on what career to choose?
Has Radiography ever popped up in your mind?
Then here are some important advantages you've got to know about radiography.
1. RADIOGRAPHERS PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM: Without radiographers, many ailments will still remain undetected till today. They are really important in the healthcare system as they help detect internal problems with non-invasive procedures.
2. MULTIPLE JOB CHOICES: With a degree in radiography, one is opportune to work in vast number of areas (Military, Educational settings, Industries, Research Labs, Forensic Laboratories, Primary Care Clinics etc).
3. GOOD SALARY SCALE: The career's wages is a mouth-watering one. The salary earned is very good, and this enables the radiographers to live decent lives, and earn respect as well in the society.
4. IT IS AN INTERESTING CAREER: Unlike some other jobs, Radiography is an interesting . This is because the radiographer don't get to do same thing all day. He does tasks ranging from interacting with patients, placing patients in appropriate positions, operating testing equipment, working/interacting with radiologists who diagnose conditions, and several other interesting things.
