Anambra to introduce coronavirus education into school curriculum

In order to fight the Coronavirus pandemic to a standstill, the Anambra State Government has announced its intention to increase the awareness of the COVID-19 pandemic by including COVID-19 education as a subject in school curriculum.


This information was disclosed to newsmen at the secretariat complex Awka, by the state commissioner for Basic Education Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha who disclosed that the decision was meant to instill the culture and practice of simple personal hygiene in primary and secondary school pupils as well as educate them on the same covid19 prevention protocols.

In her words, she said,” it is not for me to say when schools will reopen and His Excellency Governor Willie Obiano has also said that the federal government will say when schools will reopen.”
