Bowen University: begins exams online
Prof. Joshua Ogunwole the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, just confirmed that the institution has commenced second-semester examination online.
Prof. Ogunwole noted that the second semester examination of 2019/2020 session will be phased and the first phase began on Monday, June 1, 2020.
The statement given by the institution’s Head of Information, Protocol and Public Relations, Mr. Toba Adaramola, he said that the VC advised the students to carefully read the guidelines for the online examination published on the University website to avoid issues during the examination.
He also advised the students to aviod distractions and interference during the online examination, and also urged parents and guardians to limit their meddling.
He also noted that students who were not able to met up with their school fees payment would not be allowed to participate in the online exam but would be allowed to take the examination at a later date after completing their fees.
He Warned against examination malpractice, saying: “Students are reminded that the university has zero tolerance for examination malpractices and are further asked not to block the cameras of their computers while the examination is ongoing.”
The Bowen University had moved classes online in March with directive to Academic staff to teach, upload materials and interact with the students real-time using the Bowen Smart School Hub (SSHUB), a platform designed for fast and adequate learning interaction.
