This is to inform the general public and specifically those candidates who registered for the Nov/Dec NECO examination that the results of the National Examinations Council (NECO) November /December Senior School Certificate Examination commonly known as NECO GCE has been released.

Before you proceed to check your 2019 NECO GCE result online, you have to purchase NECO result checking Token online.

Visit the NECO result checking portal at
Pick your exam year. i.e. 2019
Pick your exam type. i.e. SSCE EXTERNAL (NOV/DEC)
Enter your Token Number and registration number in the appropriate columns.
Finally, click on check result button to access your NECO GCE result.
How to Purchase NECO Token Online
STEP 1: Register on NECO Results Online System
Visit Supply the required data in the appropriate columns and click on register. NECO will send an Activation Email to your registered email address.Open you email and click verify.

STEP 2: Purchase Token
Visit Enter your Email Address/Phone number and your password in the required columns. Then click on the Login button. Locate and click on Purchase Token (NB: Each token can be used with only one result for a specific number of views). Enter the number of token you need and click on Pay now button (NB: a token is N500 + N50 service charge). Now click on Proceed to pay button to pay for the token on REMITA platform using bank or card.

STEP 3: You Can Now Check Your Result
Access the NECO webpage at Pick your exam year. Pick your exam type. Enter your Token Number and registration number in the appropriate columns. Finally, click on check result.

NECO Nov/Dec SSCE Result Statistics
The released of the results was announced today by the Acting Registrar of NECO, Abubakar Gana in a statement made available to newsmen.

According to Gana, a total of 70,140 candidates registered for the examination. 65,207 sat for the English Language out of which 41,214, representing 63 percent, got either Distinction or Credit.

66,398 candidates sat for Mathematics, out of which 54,565, representing 82.18 per cent, got either Distinction or Credit.

33,576 candidates, representing 48.68 per cent, got five Credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics while 50,057 candidates, representing 72.57% got five Credits and above, irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.

On the issue of exam malpractice, Gana stated that in 2019, 17,004 cases were recorded as against 12,084 cases recorded in 2018.

This he attributed to comprehensive monitoring by senior staff which he equally said was the reason for the decline in the number of candidates with 5 Credits and above,” he said.

He called on candidates to log on to and click on NECO Results. and follow the prompt thereafter to purchase a token and access their results.
