FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO PAY PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS
In recent reports, the Federal Government has agreed to pay salaries to private school teachers that are being owed due to the sudden outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This information was disclosed by Yomi Otubela, who is the President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, during an appearance on TVC news channel on Monday, 13th July, 2020.
According to Mr. Otubela, after a cry for help by teachers of private schools who have not received payment from the management since the pandemic outbreak and sudden shut down of schools since March, the Economic Sustainability Committee received a proposal, which was headed by the Vice President of the Federation, Yemi Osibanjo.
The aforementioned proposal has been granted approval by the Federal Executive Council, and only private schools registered under the association will benefit from this appropriation.
