The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board is a corporate body that conducts an examination that is written by students who want to secure admission into any Nigeria University. The registration usually commences at the end of each year and lasts for a month or two. Candidates who have enrolled for the examination shall sit for the exams at the center they have specified at the point of registration. Jamb 2021/2022 Requirements

While you wait for the form to be released, there are many things you need to get ready, let look take a closer look at them

NIN Number: You need to get your NIN ready before the registration commences as this is now compulsory in other to complete your application at the CBT Centre. 

Sim Card: A common mistake made by many in past years is to use their parents' sim card or a friend's sim card to process the Jamb Registration. This is totally wrong and will affect you in the future. Maybe this is what you dint' know: Your application is completely tied to the sim card you've chosen to use for your application and if need be that you want to make a correction to your application in the future, you'll be required to provide this sim card. Again don't use your parent's sim card because they may not be there when you'll need to use this sim card. Take the time now to get your sim card ready if you have not already. 

Finance: The registration is not done for free, you will have to purchase a Jamb Registration Card from a bank or any nearest Cyber Cafe in other to proceed with your registration.

How Much Is JAMB Form?

JAMB E-Registration form is N3,500 (Three Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only). You'll also be required to pay an extra N500 naira fee for the JAMB Novel.

How to Purchase JAMB E-Pin and Registration Form

The additional N500 fee is paid for the purchase of the official JAMB recommended textbooks "Sweet Sixteen" by Bolaji Abdullahi which is meant for UTME Candidates and "The Last Days at Forcados High School" by A. H Mohammed which is meant for DE Candidates.

Upon purchasing your Registration Form, you will be given a CD that contains the JAMB syllabus, eBrochure, and other vital materials for free.

Your E-Pin is not transferrable, so if you're thinking of letting your younger brother/sister have your E-Pin and proceed with the registration, busted. You cannot transfer your E-Pin to another candidate. 

Be also aware that credentials such as password and ATM Cards, email addresses, and ePINs must be kept for yourself alone do not share with a third party, and no center is allowed to request for or accept a candidate’s password.

Step One: Getting Prepared by Picking a Course

This is the very first thing to do and one that you must be really careful with, decide a course you want to study before even purchasing your JAMB E-PIN. Step Two: Pick your choice of institutions

Now that you know the course you have in mind, it is now time to pick an institution to study this course. Step Three: Knowing the subject combination for your course

If this sounds new to you, let me break it down, You will be writing four different subjects at the time of your jamb examination, this subject has to be related to the course you've selected. for example, if you have chosen Mechanical Engineering, your subject combinations are English, Maths, Chemistry, and Physics.

Step Four: Creating a JAMB Profile

Step Five: Obtaining a JAMB E-PIN

The JAMB E-PIN is a unique code needed to complete to process your Jamb Registration. This code is sold at JAMB CBT centers and Cyber Cafe. You can as well purchase this pin yourself if you have a MasterCard from any bank. Alternatively, you can also walk into any bank to purchase your JAMB E-PIN.

2. PURCHASE OF E-PIN

You can use your Master Card to purchase a JAMB Registration E-Pin from any of the following banks or services

ACCESS, ECOBANK, FIRSTBANK, FCMB, FIDELITY, JAIZ, SKYE, STERLING, UNION, UNITY and ZENITH, Paga, e-Tranzact (PocketMoni), TEASYPay and Packway Projects (Readycash), FUD MFB (Dutse) and Regent MFB (Abuja). SystemSpecs (Remita) and InterSwitch (Quickteller).

If you do not have a Master Card or need assistance with purchasing your JAMB E-pin please use the service of a Cyber Cafe to purchase your E-Pin only. Do not be deceived by any roadside cyber cafe to process your registration, registration is only done by JAMB CBT Centres.

If you are within Cross River State, you can visit Success Techmax @ No 1 Hospital Lane Obudu, Ogarway Bustop to process your E-Pin Faster and Reliable.

Step Six: The Actual Registration at a CBT Centre

All of the above steps discussed before this one can be carried out at any Cyber Cafe or even on your mobile phone but now the time has come to officially visit a CBT Centre, this step can only be carried out at a CBT Centre.

Walk into any CBT Centre near you and complete your registration.

A – PAYMENT THROUGH BANKS INCLUDING MICRO FINANCE BANKS

Present Profile Code and pay by cash or card

ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

B – PAYMENT THROUGH POS – This is available at State Offices of JAMB + CBT Centres, other POS outlets and any CBT Centre that demands it

ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number

C – PAYMENT THROUGH MOBILE MONEY OPERATORS – This is available at CBT Centres and Other Outlets

D – PAYMENT USING ATM – This is available on all ATM outlets of Participating Banks listed in C(I) (InterSwitch Channel)

If ePIN is not Received or Lost, send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] to 55019 for UTME or DE respectively from the unique number

The ePIN would then be retrieved and delivered on the candidate’s unique number

3. Completing your registration at CBT Centres

Having successfully generated your profile code and obtain your JAMB E-PIN, your next step is moving to any CBT Centre within your local to complete your registration.

At the CBT Centre, present you ePIN at let them work their Magic. In less then no time your registration should be successfully complete.
