The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has today disclosed the total number of candidates that are expected to sit for the Mock Examination across the country. As compared to last year's mock examination, the statistics show that candidate's interest in taking the mock examination has declined remarkably.

According to JAMB, 160,617 UTME candidates have indicated interest to sit for the 2021 UTME Mock Examination, which is half the number of candidates who sat for the UTME Mock Examination. About 350,000 candidates sat for the Mock 2020 UTME Examination.

Where would the mock examination be written?

The examination will be written across the 802 computer-based centres located in 104 designated examination towns across the country.

How to prepare for your 2021 mock examination

  • Practice using a JAMB CBT App available for Mobile and Desktop users by different vendors
  • Reprint your notification Slip
  • Enroll in JAMB classes
  • Enroll in a Computer Training if you do not know how to use the computer system.

Other things to note

  • Jamb will no longer extend the registration period, the deadline remains 28th of May 2021.
  • A date for the commencement of the Main UTME examination has been fixed.
  • As benjamin noted, a total of 124,519 candidates have indicated interest to partake in the UTME examination but have not purchased the E-Pin. The set of candidates are advised to make hay while the sun shines.
