WAEC Considering Postponement of Exams-FG
It has been disclosed by the Federal Government that the management of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) is considering postponing the date of the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
This info was brought to light by the director of information at the Federal Ministry of Education, Mr, Ben Goong, on the 17th of July. He went on to reveal that the four other countries will discuss further and determine a new date for the exams.
Mr. Ben Goong also revealed that schools have been given a 29th July deadline to ensure their facilities are ready for resumption, in line with the guidelines given by the Ministry of Education concerning reopening of learning environments. A decision will be taken by the ministry after the deadline on school reopening for every category of students.
