AFIT has a provision for hostel accomodation to students who desire to live within the school premises.

Hostels accomodation is dedicated to making students living stress free and to reduce the cost fee for renting a house outside the school premises.

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) is a military school (Nigeria Airforce university) recently approved by the Nigerian university council as a federal university. It supports the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) and civilian communities by provision of basic training on the following:

1. Aeronautics

2. Aerospace engineering

3. Mechatronics engineering and avionics. It is located in Kaduna state, Northern side of Nigeria.

It was established in 1977 as Technical and Supply School (TSS) then renamed Air Force Institute of Technology (Afit) in 2008 and finally got university status in 2018 as Nigeria Airforce university.

The present provost is Professor (Engr) Mohammed Dauda.

The institute is located at Nigerian Air Force Base, Kawo, Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria.
