Al-Qalam University, Katsina (AUK), which was first called Katsina University, Katsina (KUK) is located in Dutsinma Road, Katsina State. The university was established in October 2005 as the first private Islamic institution in Nigeria.

The present vice-chancellor is Professor Shehu Garki Ado who became the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Qalam University, Katsina in 2013.
